Members of the Egyptian Navy are taking part in the Red Waves Exercise 7 that kicked off Saturday in Saudi Arabia and that will last for several days with the participation of countries lying on the Red Sea.
The exercise includes activities that enable the exchange of experience, and enhance the ability to plan and manage naval battles as well as confront joint challenges.
There are combat forces from Jordan, Egypt, Djibouti, and Yemen, and observers from Algeria, Somalia, and Japan. "Red Waves" exercises were first launched in 2018, and are held annually.
